There are plenty of reliable rules when it comes to make-up. Sometimes, however, the most exciting thing about make-up is the ability to break beauty boundaries! So be bold and break the rules!  Here are a few make-up tips that we love to twist!

1. Pair a bold eye shadow with a soft lipstick and vice versa…Sure, this is a good guideline that it doesn’t hurt to follow,  but we think a bold eye shadow AND a bold lipstick can look totally awesome when applied thoughtfully. 2. Avoid certain make up colors because of your skin’s undertones…We think that everyone should feel free to experiment with any color.  But, when playing with color  it does help to know your skin’s undertones.  Once you’re well versed in your skin’s natural hues, you have the tools you need to explore the rainbow! Every color comes in different shades and intensities so while one shade of a particular color may not be your best look, another shade in that same color family may provide the perfect pop!  If darker blues are too bold for your face, try other shades like powder blue or turquoise.  Darker skinned divas definitely shouldn’t shy away from soft pinks and peaches; We love how this brown skin beauty rocked a pink and peach palette:  Brown Skinned Bombshell Pretty in Peach and Pink
3. Just a touch of blush…Why does blush have to take a back seat to eye shadow, lipstick and even mascara!? A great blush, applied properly can make you look super feminine, and add super couture contours to your face; so why not make it front and center?
